Consultative Exam Medical Provider RFP

The Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) is seeking up to five contractors to provide Consultative Medical Examinations (CE) for individuals referred by participating Districts to obtain independent medical and psychiatric/psychological examinations and intelligence evaluations. The information provided from these examinations and any ancillary testing will be used to assist District staff in making a determination of employability under State guidelines. In addition, Districts are looking for evaluations to determine if any of these individuals have disabilities severe enough to qualify them for Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability benefits, or in some cases eligibility for Aid to Disabled reimbursement under Medicaid. OTDA makes no guarantee of District participation or volume of referrals.

Bids are requested for the following five regions in New York State:

  1. NYC/Long Island – New York, Bronx, Queens, Richmond, Kings, Nassau, Suffolk – due to the high density of the region, bidders must be able maintain at least one location in each participating county.
  2. Lower Hudson and Delaware Valley – Delaware, Sullivan, Ulster, Dutchess, Putnam, Orange, Rockland, Westchester.
  3. Capital Region/North - Albany, Columbia, Greene, Schoharie, Rensselaer, Schenectady, Montgomery, Fulton, Saratoga, Washington, Warren, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Clinton, St. Lawrence.
  4. Central/North - Broome, Chemung, Delaware, Chenango, Otsego, Cortland, Tioga, Tompkins, Schuyler, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Madison, Herkimer, Oneida, Oswego, Lewis, Jefferson.
  5. Western – Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Allegany, Steuben, Yates, Ontario, Livingston, Wyoming, Erie, Niagara, Genesee, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne.

Offerors may submit proposals for one, or more regions. Awards will be made for each location independently.
