Strategic Operations houses OTDAs information technology (IT) liaison function and, in this capacity, oversees the agencys IT portfolio, coordinates the implementation of enterprise-wide IT initiatives at the agency, and supports the fulfillment of IT-related staff needs. In addition, Strategic Operations is responsible for coordinating OTDAs participation in the Integrated Eligibility System, an interagency initiative to integrate New York States health and human services systems.
Strategic Operations also houses OTDAs Internal Controls Program, which is responsible for ensuring that appropriate strategies are in place to mitigate agency risks, as well as for overseeing OTDAs Process Improvement (i.e., Lean) Program, which works closely with organizational units to evaluate and streamline agency processes.
In addition, Strategic Operations is responsible for coordinating revisions to interagency forms and other materials used by applicants and recipients to apply and recertify for benefits and services, and for providing support for collaborations with local social services districts.
