Governance

The New York State Interagency Task Force on Human Trafficking (ITF) is established under Social Services Law 483-ee and is responsible for interagency collaborations, training, public awareness, identification of services, data collection, and recommendations.

Senate members are appointed on the recommendation of the Temporary President of the Senate; Assembly members of the ITF are appointed on the recommendation of the Speaker of the Assembly. The non-governmental organization members of the ITF are appointed on the recommendation of the not-for-profit organization in New York State that receives the largest share of funds for providing services to victims of human trafficking as identified by the director of the budget. The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) member is appointed on the recommendation of the President of the NYSBA.

The members of the ITF receive no compensation for their membership or expenses.

Meetings

ITF meetings are held online or in the NYS Capitol and are not open to the public.

Required Reports

Social Services Law 483-ee requires an annual report.
