mySSP Portal

mySSP is a self-service portal for New York State Supplement Program (SSP) recipients. With mySSP, the recipient can request benefit verification statements. The web address for the mySSP Portal is SSP Self Service Site.

To access mySSP, you will need to use a NY.gov account. If you do not have a NY.gov account, there will be a link on the mySSP sign-in page to create one.

By accessing mySSP, you will be able to:

  • See the amount of your current benefit, including the current benefit month, and the scheduled date your benefit will be available.
  • Request a Benefit Verification Letter (BV Letter). You may download or print the BV Letter at that time.
  • View Documents sent to you or your payee in the last 12 months, including the following notices:
    • Not Approved
    • Not Approved – Not Disabled
    • Benefit Discontinuance
    • Approval Notice
    • Change in Benefit – Increase
    • Change in Benefit - Reduction
    • Underpayment Notice
    • Initial Overpayment Notice
    • Reconsideration Request Approval

  • What You Need to Know

    There are four required pieces of information needed to sign-in to your SSP information:

    1. First Name*
    2. Last Name*
    3. Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY)
    4. Last 4 digits of Social Security Number, and
    5. There is also an OPTIONAL fifth field which may be completed. This is the Personal Identification number (PID) field.

    *Please note: First and Last name must exactly match our records, including spaces, dashes, apostrophes, etc. If you have any recent documents from us, reference those for how to enter your name.
